“Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name, you are mine. – Isaiah 43:1.”
Hi, I’m Robert. Jesus is my Lord and Savior and I want to share my testimony with you!
Isaiah 43:1 means everything to me. The verse reminds me of Jesus calling Mary by name in the tv show The Chosen. God has called me by name too, and He has redeemed my life in powerful ways.
I was born in Ohio but grew up in Southwest Florida. I’ve lived in several other states and been homeless in many more. I came to the Lord when I was just eight years old back in 1993. Even as a child, I knew Jesus, but life brought many hard battles. I’ve faced borderline personality disorder, high-functioning autism, a long struggle with porn addiction, and seasons of homelessness. Yet through it all, God has always protected me. When I look back, I can clearly see His hands protecting me.
There were nights when I was homeless and had no idea where I was going to sleep. Sometimes I would wake up shivering from sleeping outside in the cold. He was there. Sometimes I wouldn’t know where my next meal would come from. I would dig through trash bins to collect pop cans to redeem them for cash just so I could have money to eat. He was there. I remember one dark moment, hanging in a tree when I tried to end it all, crying out to God for help. He was there. In deep financial crises with Affirm and debt collectors, I never knew exactly how things would turn out—but God always got me through. He protected me when I couldn’t protect myself.
God can heal the brokenhearted, the lonely, the homeless, the hungry, and the hopeless. He did it for me, and He can do it for you. It may not look exactly the same, but trust in Him. He will guide you to the resources you need. It will take hard work on your part, and there will be times you feel like giving up—but keep trusting the Lord. He will lead you where you are supposed to be.
Sometimes we go through things to strengthen us. The people in our lives might be there only for a season, so show God’s love to them while they’re there. We are made to love one another, but sometimes loving someone means speaking the hard truth in gentleness.
When Charlie Kirk was killed, it felt like God shook me to my core. Something shifted deep inside me. On that day, that afternoon — September 10, 2025 — God miraculously took my porn addiction away. After decades of struggle, the desire was gone cold turkey. I still face temptations with lust sometimes, but God has given me strength through prayer and restraint in my words. I’m so grateful.
I was reading through the Bible and Proverbs 4:23 really stood out to me. “Guard Your Heart For Everything You Do Flows From It.” God has blessed me with a new way to love others—what I call ‘Love Without Flood.’ I can now love with patience and steadiness, without pressure or constant pursuing. I’m still a work in progress, but every day I strive to grow closer to God.
God promises so much to us. He gave us His one and only Son so that we could have everlasting life. He promises to be with us, to heal us, to strengthen us, and to never leave us.
Isaiah 6:8 was one of Charlie Kirk’s favorite verses. The Lord asked, ‘Whom shall I send, and who will go for us?’ Isaiah answered, ‘Here I am! Send me.’ That’s my response today. God has redeemed me and called me by name, so I say, ‘Here I am, Lord—send me.’ I want to share His love and use my story to point others to Jesus.
If you’re struggling right now—with addiction, loneliness, homelessness, a broken heart, or anything else—Jesus sees you. He can do for you what He did for me. Cry out to Him, trust Him, and watch Him work. He is faithful.
